People who mock others may gain a sense of superiority or power, as it allows them to feel better about themselves by putting others down. Mocking others can also be a way for people to deflect attention away from their own insecurities or flaws. Additionally, some individuals may mock others as a means of fitting in with a certain social group or to gain approval from others. However, it's important to note that mocking others ultimately creates a negative and toxic environment, and it's not a healthy or productive way to interact with others. **
